Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters launched on 27 August 2026 for Japanese consoles and on 28 August 2026 worldwide, including Steam. The roster is Tamsoft Super Action Soccer, not a licensed sim database: 22 national teams, more than 110 playable characters, five Japanese high-school kits, and inspired club sides. Character voices are Japanese only.

Open Japan Youth for the story eleven, national teams for every qualifier and World Youth opponent, and club and school teams for Nankatsu, Toho, Sao Paulo Youth, and the other stand-in kits. Super Action Soccer
Each star is a Super Move kit: shot, aerial shot, dribble, tackle, pass, and keeper tools, graded from E through SSS. Chains, Max Actions, and keeper duels decide matches more than formation sliders. Tsubasa Ozora’s Drive family is a midfield engine. Kojiro Hyuga’s Tiger and Raiju shots win center-forward duels. Genzo Wakabayashi’s long-range claim changes how you even shoot from outside the box. Learn the default elevens before you mix kits in Team Edit. Local split-screen and online versus pull from the same pool. Story and New Stars lock you to Japan’s path.
Japan Youth
Japan is the campaign spine and the usual versus pick. Captain Tsubasa Ozora (MF) sits with Taro Misaki, Kojiro Hyuga, keepers Wakabayashi and Ken Wakashimazu, plus Jun Misugi, Hikaru Matsuyama, Hiroshi Jito, Ryo Ishizaki, and Shun Nitta. Trailers and the official site extra-bill Shingo Aoi (Italy, Principe del Sole) and Tomeya Akai. Community notes still mention coach Gamo from the manga; this wiki treats Aoi and Akai as the confirmed new Japan highlights.
The 22 nations and the club layer
Asia is the qualifier cluster: Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Indonesia. World Youth powerhouses: Brazil, Netherlands, Argentina, Sweden, Cameroon, Uruguay, Mexico, USA, Germany, France, Canada, England, Senegal, Spain, Italy. Named scouting targets include Santana, Natureza, Schneider, Diaz, Hino, Levin, Espadas, Pierre, Cruyfford, Hernandez, plus official bios for Uzbekistan captain Zangiev and USA forward Blake Martin. Do not invent full elevens for every kit.
School kits are Japanese high-school snapshots. Club kits — Sao Paulo / Sao Paulo Youth, Rio Sao Paulo Youth, Porto Alegre Youth, La Boca Youth, Stuttgart Youth — are manga-inspired stand-ins, not licensed real clubs. They feed Story, versus variety, and Team Edit.
Season Pass DLC adds six characters through August 2027. Names are not published. Treat leaked DLC elevens as rumor until a patch notes them.
