Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters Club and School Teams
Japanese high schools and inspired South American and German youth clubs.
National kits steal the posters, but Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters also ships Japanese high-school teams and club youth sides. They are the other half of team select: Nankatsu versus Toho, Sao Paulo Youth on Brazilian grass, Stuttgart Youth under German floodlights. These are in-game inspired stand-ins, not licensed real clubs.
The game launched 27 August 2026 on Japanese consoles and 28 August 2026 worldwide, including Steam. Use these kits in versus, Team Edit, and Story. Voices stay Japanese. Japanese high-school kits
Five school sides sit in the Japanese layer. Nankatsu HS is Misaki’s captaincy, Ishizaki’s guts, and Nitta’s sprint once Tsubasa is already a Sao Paulo pro. Pick it for Golden Combo rhythms without the full Japan Youth bench. Toho Academy HS is Hyuga and Wakashimazu: shot-first Super Shots into keeper duels, the classroom for forcing Muller or Wakabayashi into the duel screen. Kunimi Gakuin HS is Jito’s aerials and Super Tackle windows without Misugi’s reading.
Akita HS is Tachibana twin country in series lore and the regional soil under Tomeya Akai, who is newly highlighted on Japan Youth. Do not invent a full Akita eleven. Narugahama Academy HS is the World Youth-era school outside the Nankatsu/Toho rivalry, tied in the manga’s orbit to secret training. None of these five are J.League clubs. They are series high schools.
South American and German clubs
Sao Paulo and Sao Paulo Youth are Tsubasa’s Brazilian home: senior shirt versus underage side. Official bio still places him as a Sao Paulo-linked captain who returns for Japan Youth. Use these kits for Brazilian technical soccer without loading Santana’s Brazil eleven. Roberto Hongo as coach is community continuity from the manga; the shirts are what the trailer confirmed.
Rio Sao Paulo Youth is a second Brazilian youth kit listed beside Sao Paulo Youth, not a licensed Flamengo or Vasco stand-in. Porto Alegre Youth is a southern club-youth identity, not a licensed Gremio or Internacional badge, and a Team Edit parts bin for pace that is not Santana. La Boca Youth is the Argentine street layer under Juan Diaz’s national side, not a licensed Boca Juniors product; pair it against Nankatsu in local split-screen. Stuttgart Youth is the German club-youth stand-in for Schneider, Muller, Kaltz, Schester, and Margus, who also live on Germany in the national teams table.
Team Edit and versus
Story and New Stars stay on Japan. Club and school kits earn their keep in local split-screen variety and in Team Edit: Nankatsu versus Toho, Sao Paulo Youth versus La Boca Youth, Stuttgart Youth versus Kunimi. Team Edit, covered in game modes, pulls from the 110+ character pool, sets starting spots, and can include a New Stars created player. Hyuga on Toho teaches Tiger shots. Tsubasa on Sao Paulo Youth teaches Drive soccer. Stuttgart Youth teaches Fire shots before the full German eleven.
Season Pass DLC is six extra characters through August 2027. Names are unpublished. Treat Wave 2 school-kit lists as rumor. Rank these sides on the team tier list after you play them; a school kit is not automatically worse than a World Youth nation. The scoreboard names are inspired stand-ins. The players behind them are the same World Youth cast.
